Responsibilities

  • Designing, planning and implementing quality control for all tourism products.

  • Issuing licenses for all tourism services including hotels, tour operators, travel agents …etc.

  • Monitoring all provision of accommodation and other tourism services to ensure compliance with the Ministry's rules and regulations.

  • Setting up standards for quality in all tourism services.

  • Preparing studies related to the tourism activity classification and rating, and applying them to various tourism activities.

  • Working and coordinating with all hotels and other tourist accommodation providers, to raise quality standards to an international level.

  • Encouraging local and foreign investment through a set of investment incentives, providing technical support for it, studying the obstacles facing investors and finding appropriate solutions to them.

  • Providing services to investors to facilitate their mission, such as available investment opportunities and field visits to the proposed sites in coordination with the concerned entities.

  • Preparing technical specifications and terms of reference for consultancy work for government tourism projects, analyzing offers, and following up on their implementation

  • Identify, study, and evaluate the natural and cultural vocabulary and tourism components to be employed in the tourism product industry of all kinds

  • Inclusion of the concept of sustainability and true partnership with the local community and relevant entities.

  • Collecting suggestions, complaints and feedback from citizens, tourists, and all companies working in this field, in order to improve the quality of services.
