In collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is set to host The First International Conference on the Archaeology of the Oman Peninsula from 1 to 3 February 2026. The inaugural edition of the conference coincides with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee marking fifty years since the release of the first issue of the Journal of Oman Studies in 1975.​
